A consignment sale allows you to receive an item from a private seller and list it in your store without purchasing it outright. The item is held in your inventory until it sells.\n  <\/p>\n<p>  <!-- PR\u00c9REQUIS --><\/p>\n<div class=\"tuto-prerequisites\">\n    <strong>Before you begin, make sure you have:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Access to Jewely Retail with rights to the module <strong>Purchases<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Information from <strong>occasional seller<\/strong> (name, surname, address, identity document)<\/li>\n<li>The characteristics of the item to be registered (family, category, brand, reference, materials)<\/li>\n<li>THE <strong>buyback price excluding VAT<\/strong> agreed with the seller and the <strong>margin coefficient<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul><\/div>\n<p>  <!-- \u00c9TAPE 1 --><\/p>\n<div class=\"tuto-step\">\n<div class=\"step-header\">\n      <span class=\"step-number\">1<\/span><\/p>\n<h2 class=\"step-title\">Access the Consignment Sales function<\/h2>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<p>\n      From the dashboard, you have two options for starting a consignment sale:\n    <\/p>\n<p>\n      <strong>Via the main menu:<\/strong> click on <strong>PURCHASES<\/strong> in the navigation bar at the top of the page, then select <strong>\u00ab&quot;Consignment sale or purchase of valuable items&quot;\u00bb<\/strong> in the drop-down menu.\n    <\/p>\n<p>\n      <strong>Via the dashboard:<\/strong> You can also click directly on the shortcut. <strong>\u00ab&quot;BUYBACK OR CONSIGNMENT SALE&quot;\u00bb<\/strong> bottom right of the shortcuts grid.\n    <\/p>\n<p>    <img decoding=\"async\" class=\"step-img\" src=\"https:\/\/www.jewely.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/etape1-menu-achats.webp\" alt=\"PURCHASES menu with the option of Consignment or Buyback of valuable items\">\n  <\/div>\n<p>  <!-- \u00c9TAPE 2 --><\/p>\n<div class=\"tuto-step\">\n<div class=\"step-header\">\n      <span class=\"step-number\">2<\/span><\/p>\n<h2 class=\"step-title\">Choose the type of transaction and the seller<\/h2>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<p>\n      A modal window opens with the title <strong>\u00ab&quot;Consignment sale or purchase of valuable items&quot;\u00bb<\/strong>.\n    <\/p>\n<p>\n      <strong>Transaction type:<\/strong> select <strong>\u00ab&quot;Consignment shop&quot;\u00bb<\/strong> (purple button on the left). The other option, &quot;Buyback,&quot; corresponds to a firm purchase, which is not the subject of this tutorial.\n    <\/p>\n<p>\n      <strong>Occasional seller:<\/strong> You have two options. If the seller is already registered in your database, click on <strong>\u00ab&quot;Seller&#039;s selection&quot;\u00bb<\/strong> Then type the first few letters of their name in the search field. The matching seller will appear below\u2014click on it to select them. Simply type a few letters and the results will appear automatically.\n    <\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<p>  <!-- \u00c9TAPE 3 --><\/p>\n<div class=\"tuto-step\">\n<div class=\"step-header\">\n      <span class=\"step-number\">3<\/span><\/p>\n<h2 class=\"step-title\">Select the product family and category<\/h2>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<p>\n      In the input form, start by filling in the general information about the item:\n    <\/p>\n<p>\n      <strong>Family :<\/strong> Click on the drop-down menu and choose the corresponding family. In our example, we select <strong>\u00ab&quot;Watchmaking&quot;\u00bb<\/strong>. The other available categories are Jewelry, Accessories, After-Sales Service and Spare Parts, Tableware, Stone, Miscellaneous.\n    <\/p>\n<p>\n      <strong>Category :<\/strong> Once you have chosen the family, select the category. Here, we choose <strong>\u00ab&quot;Watches&quot;\u00bb<\/strong>.\n    <\/p>\n<p>\n      <strong>Reference :<\/strong> Enter the article reference. Here, <strong>AUDEMARS PIGUET<\/strong>.\n    <\/p>\n<p>\n      <strong>Name:<\/strong> Enter the model name. In our example: <strong>Royal Oak Watch<\/strong>.\n    <\/p>\n<p>\n      <strong>Case material:<\/strong> click on <strong>\u00ab&quot;Add a material&quot;\u00bb<\/strong> and select the material. Here, we choose <strong>White Gold<\/strong>.\n    <\/p>\n<p>\n      <strong>Bracelet material:<\/strong> Similarly, add the material of the bracelet. Here: <strong>42<\/strong>.\n    <\/p>\n<p>\n      <strong>PA. HT (Purchase Price Excluding Taxes):<\/strong> Enter the buyback price agreed upon with the seller. In our example: <strong>30 000,00 \u20ac<\/strong>.\n    <\/p>\n<p>\n      <strong>Coefficient:<\/strong> Enter the margin coefficient you wish to apply. Here: <strong>1,50<\/strong>. A PDF document appears on the screen, summarizing all the information for the consignment sale: the reference and description of the item, the amount including tax, the materials, the identity number of the consignor and the consignment price.\n    <\/p>\n<p>\n      This deposit slip serves as a contract between your shop and the seller. You can\u2019<strong>print<\/strong> directly or the\u2019<strong>send by email<\/strong> to the seller by clicking on the corresponding button.\n    <\/p>\n<p>    <img decoding=\"async\" class=\"step-img\" src=\"https:\/\/www.jewely.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/etape8-bon-depot.webp\" alt=\"Consignment agreement in PDF format with details of the AUDEMARS PIGUET watch and signatures\"><\/p>\n<div class=\"tuto-tip\">\n      <strong>\ud83d\udca1 Tip: <\/strong><br \/>\n      Remember to have the deposit slip signed in duplicate: one for your shop and one for the depositor. This document is important in case of a dispute.\n    <\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<p>  <!-- \u00c9TAPE 8 --><\/p>\n<div class=\"tuto-step\">\n<div class=\"step-header\">\n      <span class=\"step-number\">8<\/span><\/p>\n<h2 class=\"step-title\">Find the item in your stock<\/h2>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<p>\n      Close the consignment receipt window and the summary window. The consignment item is now automatically added to your <strong>stock<\/strong>.\n    <\/p>\n<p>\n      To verify this, go to <strong>STOCK<\/strong> in the main menu. You will find the article at the top of the list with the tag <strong>\u00ab&quot;Consignment shop&quot;\u00bb<\/strong> (in green) and <strong>\u00ab&quot; Occasion &quot;\u00bb<\/strong> (in yellow).
