How to manage down payments and deferred payments

Introduction

Jewely allows you to collect a deposit on a sale or customer order, and to manage payments in installments.

Register a deposit

  1. From the dashboard, click on New Deposit, or access Sales > Deposits / Payments.
  2. Search for or create the customer record.
  3. Enter the deposit amount and the payment method (cash, credit card, bank transfer…).
  4. Confirm: the deposit is recorded and appears on the customer record.

Use a deposit when collecting payment

  1. When finalizing a sale, at the time of payment, Jewely automatically displays the deposits available for that customer.
  2. Click on Use the deposit to deduct the amount already paid.
  3. Collect the remaining balance according to your preferred payment method.

View the advance payments

See you in Sales > Deposits / Payments for an overview of all outstanding payments.

Good to know

  • A deposit is always linked to a customer record.
  • It is possible to refund a deposit if the sale did not take place.
