How to create and finalize a consignment or buyback business for precious objects

Introduction

Jewely natively manages consignment sales and buybacks of precious objects. These transactions are automatically recorded in the Police Register.

Create a consignment shop

1. From the dashboard, click on Buyback or Consignment Sale.
2. Select the type: Consignment shop.
3. Provide the depositor's information (identity, identity document).
4. Describe the object: nature, metal, weight, estimated value and condition.
5. Validate and print the deposit slip.

Finalize a consignment sale

1. Find the depot in Purchases > View purchases.
2. Select Sell the item Or Return.

Buying back valuable items

1. Select the type: Redemption.
2. You must provide the seller's identity.
3. Describe the item (metal, weight, hallmarks, condition) and enter the buyback price.
4. The transaction is automatically recorded in the Police Register.

• A legal waiting period of 5 working days is imposed before resale or melting.
